Founded in Seattle in 2012, MarqMetrix was established by Brian Marquardt based on his desire to take his optical, light-sensing TouchRaman™ BallProbe™, an optical measurement tool he developed while working with the University of Washington Center for Process Analysis and Control, outside of a laboratory setting to fully leverage its real-world applications.
Brian Marquardt Ph.D is an expert in the field of spectroscopy and an industry leader in process Raman. In his role with MarqMetrix®, he consults with representatives for the oil, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries to identify effective measurement solutions. Marquardt also works with the University of Washington as director of the Center for Process Analysis and Control.
Scott Van Vuren , with over 25 years of experience, has been working with both start-ups and international corporations. His ability to create and deliver innovative business models has resulted in a number of partnerships between MarqMetrix and highly recognized global brands.
Jack Donohue brings a proven track record in strategic negotiations and operational management to MarqMetrix. He has more than 20 years of experience in the international business environment.
Giora Proskurowski Ph.D , for more than 10 years, has been developing and producing oceanographic instruments. He has designed and built equipment to withstand some of the most extreme environments on the planet.
David Veltkamp Ph.D has nearly 30 years of experience working with sensor technologies, beginning from the prototype stage and continuing through the testing and manufacturing process. He combines his engineering and technical skills to create innovative measurement solutions that are improving the quality of life for millions of people around the world.
Tom Pierson Tom Pierson oversees Finance and Operations for MarqMetrix. Tom has spent the last 11 years in finance and strategy roles at Nordstrom. His responsibilities included management of Nordstrom’s M&A and investing activities as part of the corporate development team and as finance leader for Nordstrom’s marketing division. Prior to Nordstrom, Tom spent five years in investment banking for two Seattle-area firms providing financial advisory services to middle market and emerging growth companies throughout the Western U.S. A Seattle native, Tom received his MBA and undergraduate degrees from the University of Washington.
